I am re-designing one of my companies portal sites. This site is 10 years old, as is the design. I have the basics mocked out and color ideas. I am struggling with the graphics part. Okay first off...here's the website FourteenerNet. Remember it is 10 years old.

I am going to use a 3 column css liquid layout, was thinking of using the Ruthsarian Skidoo-Too layout to start with. I have the menus and structures all mapped out. I have to design it to maintain the sites high rankings with search engines. I have mapped out the entire site and figured out the structure portion of the site.

My struggle...I am stuck on the graphics part. I need to use 14er mountains, Collegiate Peaks. I don't know whether to go with a panorama, a few pictures across the top? Anyone willing to discuss with me would be great...help me brainstorm...

I could use some inspiration on this part.

Panorama is always good for mountains. I'd find (or take) a nice panorama of the 14ers, extract your colors from it, and use it as a theme throughout.

That's what I am thinking...I have to make it stand out.

My idea I am playing with is season shots of the 14ers (I have them)...panorama them together...fall showing the golden colors, spring with the mountain tops showing a little snow along with blooming greens, winter with the snow, and summer with the beautiful greens and browns. Hows this sound?

I think that's an excellent idea. You could even go the route of http://www.tnvacation.com. They have different themes for each season. Very neat.
