Horisont You need to be a little more specific, Please read the rules

I will gladly unsink the thread if you do so.

    Alex.

ps: I like the simplicity of it.

Hint: you can get away with this kind of question - but only if you hinge it on a more specific question, eg does this colour scheme work, what doesn't work about this or that. That's how I look at it anyhow :)

To be more specific, I really want to know is the grid and color scheme ok?

P.S. Anyway, the real question is - do I have any chance to be featured in some CSS galleries with this direction of design? :) Very naive question, but I am dreaming about being featured there :)

The design is looking good, Horisont. Here are my opinions on a few things you may want to consider working with a little further:

Grid: You're close. The light green graphic to the left of your headings (which should be in heading tags in your code) is kinda hanging out there.

Color Scheme: I like the colors, but it could use a little more contrast. The white text on the light green background and the light green text on the light tan background are kinda hard to read.

Also, in the "Read more about our services" link, take the arrow image out of the code and set it as the background image for the link. That way the underline won't show up under the image and you can vertically center the text and the image.

Remember, if you want to be featured on CSS Galleries (the few good ones at least), you need more than just a nice design—you need well-executed, semantic X/HTML code and CSS as well ;-)

To be honest, I think the lack of design critiques is kind of.... gay. I would love to have a design critique forum or something, I am sure most of us create new designs a couple times a week.

We used to allow those kinds of threads… but quickly realized it didn’t do much good since the kind of criticism people received was all very subjective.

Sorry, the rule stays. If you are smart enough you will do exactly what horisont did, and ask specific questions which will give you better answers.

In addition to JohnRiv's comment about the grid, I'd say that the grid is a tool, not a rule. It is a tool for laying out content in a way that is readable, 'scannable', and generally pleasant to view. But the grid is not a jail cell. A good designer will know how to move outside the boundaries of the grid to enhance their design. That said, he's still right about that graphic. It's a bit out of place. :)

And another specific question :) What you think of font combinations and font sizes, does it look good altogether?

Thanks a lot for your comments, guys! Really appreciate it :)

2 JohnRiv, thank you for detailed comments :)

Ok, what do you think of colors and contrasts now? Is it easy to use the website?

    P.S. All links are working.

After a quick look I'm quickly taken by the lovely light green shade you're using. The background, however, doesn't quite do it for me.
