here I'm trying to tell the world that there is something called W3LK, & expecting you guys helps & contribute to improve our local talents as well as share knowledge. We want to improve the use of web standards, accessibility, usability... etc in Sri Lankan web industry & keep our guys up to date.

mmmm i'm just going to give my honest opinion here... what the heck?!
do you have a website, information you want / need, you want to improve the use of web standards... well that's a hard thing to do if you don't show examples of your work so that people (serious people) can comment on it and advise you etc.
am i stupid or is this whole thread going nowhere?! -

thanx for your honest comments, here i'm not expecting to show my work, what we are going to do with W3LK is make a place for Sri Lankan web geeks to go on a track & make Sri Lankan Web Industry a world class one. So you guys have any ideas, anything welcome, we are just started.

What people want to know is if you have a website for this W3LK organization/thing you keep talking about.
What is it? a portfolio, a community a national organism? what is it?
And what ideas are you seeking?
Please be more specific. -

Hi guys, sorry i made a mistake here not giving the link, actually at the moment we don't have a official website but few of us started a Google group http://groups-beta.google.com/group/w3lk.
W3LK is the community of Sri Lankan Web Professionals. We want to improve our selfs as here we are still stick in to old school web designing & no one thinking about accessibility, userbility or any web standards. There will be only few people who can understand web standards.
With the google group we are hoping to communicate with our local as well as all world wide web professionals & discuss our matters, share knowledge... etc & later we will move to a forum & also we are hoping to meet up all web professionals in Sri Lanka & discuss further about it.
So guys i hope this will help you all to understand what is W3LK & what we try to do. So all your comments, helps... all contributions are welcome.
Hope someday we can have a conference in SL with all world class web professionals from all around the world :)
