Not "Stylin With CSS". The first chapter (and that was just on XHTML markup, not even on CSS) frustrated me so badly I couldn't bring myself to read the rest.
HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS I started out with this book from Sitepoint. The book is great because you learn to build a site from start to finish using CSS for layout, but I still use it a lot for the reference in the back of the book.
I've ordered Dan Cederholm's 'Bulletproof Web Design' along with a few others. I haven't read Dan's earlier book 'Web Standards Solution' though I have read Zeldmans 'Designing with web standards'. Can anyone who has read these tell me if its worth getting 'Web Standards Solutions' or is ot going over whats covered in DWWS or Bulletproof?
wow, shirty moderators here, rapped on the knuckles for referencing the same question more than once. I posted the same question elsewhere after I posted the new thread because I found discussions which were relevant. Some people need to relax though I'm sure a thread [closed] or comment deleted is more likely.
edited by droppyale: 3 threads trying to address the same issue on the front page is dumb. it creates confusion and it helps no one. It's common sense, if you can't understand that, well don't bother posting here, and please refrain from swearing as specified in the rules.
I am currently reading Sitepoint's "DHTML Utopia: Modern Web Design Using JavaScript & DOM" and "Talent Is Not Enough: Business Secrets For Designers" by Shel Perkins - the latter of which I won in a raffle at An Event Apart Atlanta.
