Hi all, recently got me a mac and I'm unsure what software to use to split a single mp3 file into tracks for burning as an audio CD. I used NERO on my pc and it was great.

Any suggestions (aside from go back to my pc!)

    Thanks everyone!

I remember there was this utility called CD Spin Doctor that used to come with Toast, now they sell it separately:
http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/spindoctor/overview.html that I'm pretty sure could do that.

Otherwise, I would just do it by hand in QuickTime, but that's just me being old school.

You will probably want to have a look at the available sound editors for Mac:

I use Sony's Acid Music Studio software for creating and editing audio files.

I know that there are simpler open source utilities out there that will do the trick as well. I'm sure you could find them via Google.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ is a free, cross-platform sound editor. Does the job for me in OS X!

^ditto. I've done quite a bit of audio recording and production. Audacity is the best I've found yet.
