Anyone else think it would be a good idea to create a sticky topic on the forum where we could post good tutorials for beginners? We tend to get questions like the one above regularly, and it would be nice to be able to point newbies to a thread that would offer some solid advice.

More than a sticky topic, seems like a new tab is in order for the beauty. Anything worth mentioning should be in the news section and then perhaps the new tab could be an archive of sorts of the best-of-the-best in CSS tutorials.

adjustafresh, want to help put something together? I've been looking to put cssworkshop.com to some use for a while now.

I like the idea of adding a section to this site--more work for Alex who seems to be focusing on his latest project: DFCKR. Perhaps even offer tutorials by designer/developers whose work is featured in the gallery.

CSS Workshop sounds like a great idea too--I'd love to be a part of it. It would need to stand out from the compendium of CSS sites already out there though. There are so many now that copy this site, or are just lists of links to other CSS tutorial sites or blog posts. Maybe more of a how-to with varying degrees of skill--beginner through advanced. If you have any additional ideas, feel free to hit me up.

    Hi there,
New member here, can't believe I haven't found this site before. My problem is that I have a great print designer, a quark pro, but he hasn't touched html since font tags were cool. Due to a long string of unfortunate events I need to get him up to speed on css/html ASAP, as in yesterday. Looking for good basic tutorial, something that would help "translate" print jargon to web jargon would be awesome. Any and all suggestions welcome!!

Well, since it's for commercial use and after he goes through the tutorials and he would like some expert tutoring (ie6 debugging, css architecture, skinable buttons, skinnable boxes, modules etc, accessibility etc) , you can contact me at xotarea at yahoo dot com and we can set up some webinars.

We should make some stickies here, cause when i started with CSS i encountered tons of bad practices from tuturials, but when i came to Skillshare you guys helped me out and i learned to write much cleaner code. This site is the first site i visit if i encounter any problems, since i know i will get master answers with tons of ideas and tips :)
