    Hi!

Usually I create a site map diagram for the references of the project.
Which helps a lot during developing process and it works well for me.
I was using word or photoshop and just draw it.
I found WORD not very friendly and sometimes very annoying.
Photoshop works well for me but takes longer to draw something especially if you have bigger sitemap.
I'm wondering what are you using for creating site map?
Is the any application that can make creation of the sitemap more easy and faster?

People have said the same about me...

I use Visio. Axure looks pretty cool, but I haven't tried it. Gliffy is free - obviously not as many features but it may be what you need.

    Forgot to mention freemind.

Although not exactly for site map building it does help when putting ideas together etc.

If you use Windows you could always use Microsoft Visio.

    What about Visio? :D

If that's not available to you, Powerpoint's not that bad - using the connector autoshape makes it a bit friendlier than Word and things stay connected to each other when you move them. Mac-wise, Keynote's nowhere near as friendly, but as droppyale said above, I've heard good things about Omnigraffle too - although I'm yet to try it.

Personally, I always start with as big a piece of paper as I can get and some felt-tip pens. Better still, if you have access to a big drywipe wall and a stack of post-it notes (even a big window or glass office divider will do) you can have great fun, get some other people involved, and then use a digital camera to record it for future reference.

The biggest site I've ever worked on was mostly felt-tip-pen powered. Tape lots of paper together and get creating.

I think I have somewhere MS Visio.
    Need to dig it out.
Yes whiteboard works too but it's more for my boss.
So I have present it nicely plus numbering all the section with a references on a next page
to explain each link or functionality.

Jumping on the band wagon -- I too use and like Viso. Some of my co-workers use illustrator.

Viso is ridiculously simple to use, especially if you are already familiar with the MS Office interface. There is also a free viso reader, but I generally save it to a PDF.
