I recently thought of a potential site concept, but would like some preliminary feedback on the idea before proceeding any further.
Working title: "Mock'd Up"
The site would be an online community for web designing university students, either commercial or as part of their courses. The site would allow potential clients to post their requirements centrally - with the inclusion of relevant house styles and example content - tapping into the depth of this under-utilised pool of talent. Students are then able to submit a their best 'mock-ups' or interpretations, from which the client may decided to select a designer to complete the project. This allows students to develop their skills and portfolios, against a wide range of professional design briefs.
I would be grateful for all feedback on this concept!
There's a US college site that's not a million miles from this (except their outfit is selling itself as a professional service)... the name escape me though...
