Dreamhost has been down for 5 hours already...

If I didn't have 10 sites to migrate over I might have switched already... the Grid Server was a bit slow over January but MT have just upgraded it and it seems pretty stable now, with individual MySQL containers for each customer etc...

* If Dreamhost has an unaffected nameserver, would it have been so difficult to just serve a simple error page saying “Coming back soon” for all customer sites, instead of just disappearing from the net? Come on, you had two days.

* Also, I think that for something as grave as a system-wide outage, all customers should be notified by email regardless of their control panel settings. I’m sure no one would complain that they’re being spammed.

And to the people who think that the whole world is fast asleep at 1am PST… um, actually I can’t think of any response that wouldn’t insult MY intelligence.
