I'm putting together a design for a client focused on Eastern philosophy, religion and culture. I want to avoid overused type like 'Papyrus' or whatever you see in a lot of yoga advertising. I've paged thru a lot of modern church sites, too, but none of the fonts are grabbing me. I'm going to continue researching, but in the meantime can anyone recommend a typeface they've used recently that fits the bill? Something tasteful, 'spiritual', kind of historical, but not too hippyish or corny...I'm looking to pay money for something, not crazy about getting anything from DaFont, etc. Thanks!
i don't have anything specific however think of holy books (Bible, Koran, etc.). These use serif fonts and yellowish white paper. Maybe that will give you a bit of inspiration.
