CSS & HTML: Problem with spacing of componets in IE

    on the site i'm creating http://tma.ba.ttu.edu the first 3 navigational links (home, about, and join) in IE i have a small white gap at the end of my footer element, as well as the navigational bar element. it is not a problem on the other navigational links or on any of the links in firefox. i'm not sure why this is a problem. my css is at http://tma.ba.ttu.edu/css/styles.css
