I just got some books as everyone is recommending them, CSS Beauty too. I would like to know what is the best "order to read" for these books.
Here is the list: - Designing With Web Standards - HTML Utopia - Designing without tables using CSS - Bulletproof Web Design - The Art and Science of Web Design - More Eric Meyer on CSS - Designing Interfaces Patterns for Effective Interaction Design - The Art of Project Management
As i already mentioned most of them recommended by CSS Beauty and some of them from blogs. So please give them best order to read that i can teach my mind layer-by-layer.
My goal is making a strong foundation of web standard then expertizing over User Interface Design using full power of XHTML, CSS with restriction of Usability and Accessibility. And finally managing several projects successfully.
ps: i already read "Integrated XHTML and CSS" and "CSS Mastery", several other online magazines like ala, digital web etc.
Personally, I don't think anyone should read CSS books until they have a full grasp of semantic HTML. Once you have a good hold on that, then I would say go to an Intro to CSS book, then something like Bulletproof Web Design, then something showing more advanced techniques.
Yea, I tried to learn css through books but I just couldn't get a grasp on it. So I got a template, sat down and didn't move until I'd coded it. Once you have the hang of it there are loads of articles on the web to help you improve on different aspects.
