DigitalDay is looking for a web designer with excellent graphic design skills and a solid understanding of usability to help in the development of world-class interactive marketing for Fortune 1000 clients. A good working knowledge of Flash, HTML and CSS is a major plus, as is a general understanding of the importance of best practices such as web standards and accessibility. While we'd prefer to have designers in-house, we can arrange a tele-commuting gig with the right person. Responsibilities

• Designing solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
• Creating interactive design concepts
• Designing storyboards, interactive page layouts, interface demos, photo retouching and enhancements, animated GIFs
• Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables
• Building and maintaining team rapport with creative staff, account managers, and project managers
• Foster a studio environment that is on-brand: Collaborative, Trusted, Insightful, Innovative, Ingenious, Memorable, Pioneering, Agile, Driven, Passionate, Diverse, Analytical

Qualifications:

• Strong design portfolio with 4+ years education, 4+ years design and interactive work experience
• Ability to articulate and present creative ideas
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
• A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of applicable programs – PC or Mac OS, Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.
• Understanding of motion design and the strengths and limitations of Flash, Ajax, Flex, and other emerging platforms
• Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web and the fundamentals of information architecture
• Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
• Mature appreciation of the balance between creative and business opportunities
• Self motivated, organized and accountable

This is a full-time position in a friendly, creative atmosphere at our office in Peninsula, OH – in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, conveniently located between Akron and Cleveland.
