    Hello,

I am in the process of producing my first portfolio site. I have been using CSS/XHTML 1.0 Strict for about 6 months now but have learned quite a lot. (I take new media production at college).

Anyways my question is I have seen several websites displaying javascript applications that make content slide in and slide out of the web page with a click of a link. I have an example below: (And can provide more examples if needed)

    http://www.timbenzinger.com/

If you click "About this project" tabs on each piece of work he has done theres a little content box that slides down. Now not wanting to steal any javascript he is using I was wondering if there is a way I can research this to figure out how to apply it to my website.

Any chances anybody knows what this specific javascript app is called?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    James

This particular website uses the Mootools Framework. However similar effects can be achieved using JQuery or Scriptaculous

Thank you for the first response.

My second question would be right before I download these. Will I be required to hand code the javascript myself, or is this a tool that I can just simply implement the provided javascript from the program into my website.

Unfortunately I do not know javascript yet.

Regardless I will give it a try. Thanks again.

EDIT: Never mind, I looked at the moo tools website and found out the exact app I was looking for.

Thanks a lot, the mootools was a bit too complicated considering I know nothing of Javascript yet. I will give the simplejs a try!
