Most of the CSS articles I see in magazines are very beginner oriented. The only magazine I've ever purchased for tutorials is Computer Arts magazine, although I haven't bought that in about year and I'd usually just buy it for Photoshop tips. HOW is a decent magazine with good articles and a great design that I'll buy a few times a year. And I'm sure to always pick up the Communication Arts Interactive Annual each year.

As far as CSS-related publications go, A List Apart is actually probably the best out there in any format (digital or print). And it's free!
