Hello, I have a problem I'm dealing with for a year. I've tried changing gamma and contrast options, but nothing works.
I'm working on CRT Philips 21" and I am using light shadings for my web design, but when I try to view my design on the LCD monitor, I can't see any of those light shadings. I don't know where is the problem. Is it my monitor calibrated wrongly or is it the problem with all those LCDs on laptops?
For example
http://www.jungle.lt/uzsakymai/linges/apiemus.html - there is a brownish column on the left, under the menu with a white ornament on it. I can see it clearly on my CRT but the client sees only the white space with his laptop.
On my laptop screen, I can see the ornament perfectly. Same goes for my HP 1740 LCD. Each screen is different. For example, I know that somethings I can see on a laptop screen or CRT but not on an LCD. Your client's screen is probably not set correctly or is old. But I am sure that the design works on most screens (it worked on my 2/2).
