I am designing a site for a garage that services VW cars. They are not VW dealers or in any way affiliated with VW but they want to use the VW logo on a banner next to their name. Is this asking for trouble?

I had to check, twice, that I really was at the VW site when I read this. It really couldn't be put in simpler terms.
