    I need to show my favicon in bookmarks list so that if any one added my site in his bookmarks list that favicon should display there..

    I think so long as the browser detects an image path & link tag like this...

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.mysite.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

    ...the icon should show up in people's bookmarks. In Firefox, anyway.

    Full path for a favicon is not mandatory.
