Description
We have an immediate need for an experienced programmer to help debug and then help plan and develop the next version of our intranet time management, tracking, and billing application which is based on apache, php, and mysql. This would be a flex time position that would require around 10-25 hours a week for 3-4 months minimum. Off site work is acceptable with the occasional need for in house meetings and version roll outs.


Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform software design, development, documentation, and testing.
· Work on improving current intranet application, and help to design and implement planned features.
· Participate in writing and maintaining requirements and specifications documents.
· Assist with integration and usability testing.
· Interact with various internal departments to gather requirements and deliver high quality features.

Qualifications
· 3 to 5 years of software development experience required
· Advanced knowledge of PHP (4 & 5), MySQL, object oriented design, database design, web application design
· Advanced knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, performance tuning and optimization
· Experience with AJAX techniques are a plus
· Strong analytical and design skills
· Strong QA skills and the ability to unit test
· Experience with OSX or other unix-based operating systems a must
· Understanding of complex system design and architecture
· Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and achieve goals with minimal supervision
