    Hello,

    I would like to create a slideshow exactly like (or similar to) this one: http://www.dhtmlgoodies.com/scripts/image-slideshow-5/image-slideshow-5.html

    But! I would like to have the client be able to upload and delete images (very basic - no albums, editing, etc. necessary). Any ideas?

    Not quite precisely what you're looking for, but NextGen Gallery for Wordpress has a lot of cool options and a nice control panel.

    The recipe I would recommend:

    Drupal
    Create a content type ('image')
    Add a CCK image field
    Create imagecache presets ('thumb', 'main')
    Edit 'image' content type to use 'thumb' for teasers and 'main' for full
    Create a bonus view to display "Panels: Teasers, 1 top + 2 columns"
