I was offered to design a blog and update it about twice a week. Most of my freelance projects have been one-time fee-based. This is probably going to be one year contract.
If anyone could give me some pointers on how to charge for maintaining a blog, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
My suggestion would be to charge a one-time fee for the design and initial set up of the blog, then get the client on a monthly maintenance contract for a specific number of hours/month for a specific price.
And, if you decide to go for a set amount of time each month, make sure you keep track of it and have a way to keep the client informed about it as well. This will ensure that they aren't surprised should you need to bill them for additional time.
They said it'll take around 10-20 hrs per week in an already made blog. It's kind of tricky to come up with a fixed fee plan, not knowing how much it'll actually take, especially because I don't have much experience blogging. Thanks for your tips!
