I'm working with a client to roll out a new and improved website to replace his old crappy site. He has some pretty good rankings for the keywords that drive him the most business and isn't interested in losing rank when he rolls out this new site.
We're completely rebuilding the site from the ground up and so the new site is going to have a new URL structure, different (better) content and less of the shady "google-hacking" that his last developer used to get his site up in the rankings.
I am looking for someone who can consult with me regarding some SEO specifics. If you are knowledgeable and have some experience that you can point to, please email me (sam [at] bluetux [.] com) and i'd be interested in hiring you on a consulting basis to help us with the SEO aspects of your project.
Hi Panic! Why don't you centre your pages, it's easy. Use fixed positioning...#wrapper{left:50%;margin-left:-xpx} and a negative margin that is half the width of the wrapper element... Re: SEO no need to throw away what's working; and what's wrong with Google hacks?
