    Hi - I really need help with two things.

    I have completed a website and one of the heading section gets cut off and I can't figure out how to change this.

    Also - when I add a link to text it changes the colour of the text even though I have added the tags (link / active / hover / visit etc) and changed it to the same colour.

    If someone can post an email I will gladly email you over the files for you to have a look. I've spent ages looking at it now :-/

    Thanks in advance for any help :)

    If the code isn't too long, just post it inside your comment or upload the side on some server and post us the link to it. I'll be glad to have a look at it :)

    Thanks for that. I have asked on another forum. I had problems with this forum yesterday (couldn't get threads to show up - went to an error message??). The files are uploaded onto this thread - http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=181335

    I hope its ok to post that link here...sorry if not.

    Thanks if you can help. I just have problems with the text cutting off now...I have worked out why the links were purple! Can't get letters like 'g' 'y'
    to show and not get cut...wierd

    Have you tried removing the height values from the headers? Try line-height instead, if you have to set a fixed height for a line of text.

    Do you mean this bit: If so (as you can see) I have removed the heights and still the g's get cut off...

    did you mean something else?

    #rightbodyPan h2{width:250px; display:block; position: relative; background:url(images/symbol5.gif) no-repeat #ffffff; padding:35px 0 0 70px; font:28px/28px Georgia, "Trebuchet MS",Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#003366; margin:0px 0 7px 20px ;}
    #rightbodyPan h5{width:210px; display:block; position: relative; background:url(images/symbol4.gif) no-repeat; padding:35px 0 0 70px; font:28px/28px Georgia, "Trebuchet MS",Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#003366; margin:0px 10px 7px 20px ;}
    #rightbodyPan h6{width:210px; display:block; position: relative; background:url(images/symbol.gif) no-repeat; padding:35px 0 0 70px; font:28px/28px Georgia, "Trebuchet MS",Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#003366; margin:0px 0 7px 20px ;}
    #rightbodyPan h7{width:210px; display:block; position: relative; background:url(images/symbol7.gif) no-repeat #ffffff; padding:35px 0 0 70px; font:28px/28px Georgia, "Trebuchet MS",Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#003366; margin:0px 0 7px 20px ;}

    That's what I meant, but I didn't actually see the text being cut off in the first place, so I'm just guessing here.

    Oh...right.. Strange as I have asked a couple of others and they can see the text cut off...so maybe its an issue with IE7??

    Wierd. Just can't figure out why it is doing it. When I move the text up it still has it cut off, where the letters fall below the line.

    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    Thanks for looking (kari) - I really appreciate it :)

    Oh, I just noticed that you have set the font size as font:28px/28px. The reason for the descenders cutting off is the 28px line-height. Either set the size like 28px georgia, 28px/36px georgia, or something similar.

    Oh you genius :) That worked. Thank you so much, that has saved me hours of further faff :)

    So the 26px is the height of the font and the 36px is the height of the line?

    Thanks, thats made my day :)
