I made a new website and had a couple of questions?
1) Does the length of the page really matters in people choosig to read or not? My website is article based and I usually ad d a few pictures or images to each othem. But these images makes the pages seems too long.
So I don't know if should lower the font size, make other changes to keep the article short or it doesnt really matter?
2) Also I had a question about my backgorun. I have a slighly black background and slighlty white text. But I now get the feeling it could strain peoples eyes when they read articles.
Hope it is ok to post a link. If it is not, pls delete it.
Your web site looks very nice, I think your design is ace! Allow me to make these suggestions:- It doesn't matter if articles are long - if they interest people I think it is better to keep everything on one page. Contrast can be a problem, and I would suggest using white on a dark background like yours. (black on white is best for ergonomic clarity) It is good to use a large font-size text; remember that, on the web, space is not restricted. (it's even infinite!) A good rule is not to put more than about eighty characters on a line, and add to the line-spacing, to improve readability. Finally, I would suggest that you make your page about 960/1000 pixels wide, to accomodate small viewports. Checkout... http://www.panavista.eu/ for mental relief!
