I am struggling with something here :)
Here is my navigation basicly with links: http://www.glhf.no/navbar.jpg

The goal is to have a drown down menu below these links. But since its just an image i use image map to map out links in this image. So i am not sure how i would combine this with a drop down menu.
    Any tips?

Yes, don't create it as an image map. Use an unordered list for your navigation.

    Hi,

    1) take a div and define its background with that gradient black strip image
    2) in that div define ul li and define the li with white background image

for above this u need two images .... separate that black strip in to 1px vertical image and repeat it
and use that white tab image for nav_ul_li background
