Do these nasty spam bots only search the code for email addresses, or do they also do a "visual search" ? For example if you just want to post your email, would something like this be safe:

address & # 6 4 ; hotmail.com

or this:

address<--bla-->@hotmail.<--bla-->com

I have been using this enkoder, but it relies on javascript to work. I was wondering what other good methods are out there.

i've used this for some stuff for a while now. it seems to work okay, but i think lately the bots have been starting to crack it.

For anyone using Wordpress, http://www.phrixus.co.uk/pxsmail/ is meant to be good and seems to have plenty of content and referrer checks to foil the spam bot armies
