I'm looking for any free plugins or software packages that work with wordpress to track stats as well if possible client information like resolution etc
I'm a slacker, most of my wordpress installs just use statcounter.com freebie trackers. The Friday Morning blog ties into Mint (just like the rest of the Friday Morning site).
Of course, no sooner do I say that than I realize I haven't updated to WP2 there and go to do it and manage to fry the entire blog (this worked fine for all the other blogs I updated). GO ME!
statcounter is pretty cool, I think im just going to bring myself to finally purchase Mint.. i've been drooling over it and Symphony (http://www.symphony21.com/) for a while now..
EDIT for nifkin..
Thats horrible, I'm sorry to hear it.. I had the same thing happen to me on my previous websites that used jetbox and expression engine.. hope you backed it up before updating!
Hmm, not so much. It's alright though, I just dumped all the files and totally reuploaded wordpress and plugins and my theme and it seems to be okay now.
if you go into that "project" page in statcounter.com, then click on the wrench icon (for setup/config stuff) there's an option to set a blocking cookie so that it won't track your visits at all.
Matthew, I see that you have used the statcounter.com service with your website on expression engine. I have a question, where do you place the code that statcounter gives you?
