Hi Guys,
I've got a pretty solid handle on XHTML / CSS and now need to expand my skills to dynamic sites. I'd like to learn Javascript/DOM and I've looked at Jeremy Keith's 'DOM Scripting' for this.
For PHP/MySQL I've looked at Web Database Applications with PHP & MySQL, 2nd Edition - Hugh E. Williams and a few others but to be honest, I'm not sure where to start.
Any suggestions or general advice on this next step? -

I read "PHP and MySQL Web Development" (Welling and Thornton) when I started. It's a great beginner's guide, hence the code is a bit simple. I think they're on their second edition now. -
