    Hi guys,
i got a question for you this morning. Am trying to crop my photoshop layout in order to go in a css/xhtml template. But... there's always a but... I don't want to repeat some mistakes i made by the past.

    http://www.kyochew.com/layout.gif

    - First, I don't want to use background png anymore (i got sick of z-order corrections).
    - Second, u'll see by yourself but, i have a big ray on the solid color background which is essential for me, and am looking for a clean solution to melt it with the rounded corners and shadowed main shape.
    - And of course the content area will be vertical fluid (non fixed - my apologies about my english)

SO ... what should i do, cuz :
    - When i work with gif, transparency is awful for rounded shapes
    - i can't mix gif and jpg on the background

Am so pissed :) So i u got a solution for me, it'll more than welcome

    Thkx in advance.

Actually, after some serious reflexion, i think i just found the worst mix ever :

body background pattern + faux shadow + rounded corner
    yummy
    damn me :)

The background color isn't variating that much so I would recommend decently dithered gif as your corners.. think for it few seconds and you'll figure it out. And those upper corners arent much of a problem cause there you can know the exact point of background which is laying underneath so you don't even need transparency there.

Absolutly right Mcjay, i made some tests for the footer, and even if a lighten stripe goes on the corner, the difference of a few pixels isn't obvious, so i'll keep it like that for now.
    thkx dude
