Nice site. The header/nav bar works really well.

    A few quick thoughts:

    1. It's very text heavy! Some icons or graphics in the sidebar or main div might lighten it up a wee bit?

    2. All the body text is the same size/colour. Maybe you could make a distinction between the sidebar/main div by varying this.

    3. Some of the copy is too wordy. Couldn't be bothered reading a lot of it, and because of (2.) there is nothing to help you skim read it. For example before you can even use the Quick contact form, you are confronted with 2 whole paragraphs of text explaining how to use it!

Other than that, nice work :-)

    3stripe, thank you.
If you go to the main page with the javascript off, you'll see instruction for the major browsers on how to enable it. May I have your opinion on the design of that?

Heres some criticue, I hope your one of those people who can take it, becouse it's ment to help you! :)

I have never really liked those fancy fonts for webs. I think that you should consider something diffrent. Maybe even not put the web on the top, but under the header picture and combinate it with the logo or something. Well there are lot's of options. Experement with some.

The content-div's should have bigger padding from the sides.

As I said, the font you have used on the web(the round one) does not fit the web page. If you take a look at the "Studio Industry" and the menu - it just makes no sense why the menu font should be like that.

And the hover, when your mouse goes over the headlines. I think it would look better if it would not changes background, but just give it the orange border.

Hope it helps, good luck! :)

I liked the site overall, but few comments.

    1) Site is indeed very filled with text.

    2) Somehow I don't like much of those changing header images. Why just not have fixed image ? It would bring stability to the site. Or at least change just some part of the image and not whole different image.

    3) About those changing header images, it seems that site structure switches about 10 px horizontally when browsing the menu. Easy to see the effect if you select quickly through different options. I think this is caused if those images are not same sized ?! I'm not sure..

    I'm browsing with Firefox 1.5

I think the navigation and imagery work nice. However the body has some flaws in my opinion which could be addressed easily.

    • There is a big gap between the headings and the paragraps.

    • The use of "justified" text makes it seem very boxy.

    • Need spacing between the lines (line-height).

    • possibly more padding between the content and the body border.

    Other than that, good job.

There's really just one thing I could add to all that has been said about the site already. Ofcourse I don't know how important it is to you that search engines can efficiently spider and index your site (including the news). By only allowing visitors that have javascript enabled to see your news, you're excluding searchbots from seeing it..

I guess it would be better to offer both a javascript enabled and a javascript disabled version..

Thank you all for the comments.

About the content, I'm aware that it is very wordy. I was afraid to post the site here because I knew the content needs a lot of work. But, I decided to post it because the community is supposed to help, not ridicule. It seems that I made the right decision. I thank you all for the input.
    .
The reason why the news requires JavaScript is because I decided to play with AJAX. I wrote an RSS reader to access an RSS feed from MT. I will probably put a link to MT for those that have JavaScript turned off. I just not had a chance to style MT yet.

3stripe: The text in the sidebar (the headlines) and the text of the story are of different colours. The headline description is gray, the story text is black.

Gustavs: I like the menu on top. I like the rounded font for the headings. Non-rounded font does not look as good when the text is lower-case. Can you elaborate on why you think that it does not work? I cannot give the hover an orange border because orange border means a SELECTED headline. We experimented with that, and it looks too much like the headlines menu. A little variation seems to look better.

hafe: I like the header images. Each image says a different message. The site shifts because of the wordiness, the scrollbar appears. All pages are identical in width.

droppyale: I agree with everything you said. But right-aligned hearders do not look good with left-justified text. Do you agree with Bahamas (the rounded font)?

Remco: I will look into that.

    Again, thank you all!
