Is there a standard way to create vertical text in CSS?

    Like something that's rotated?

I think it was being discussed for CSS3 or something but I don't think there's any way to do it otherwise right now.

Spooky - What do you mean by vertical text?

I have to turn my head to read it (down-to-up), or the first letter is on top and the subsequent letters travel down rather than left-to-right?

Create an image in PS using the vertical type tool .. or, just type it out and do the 'ol Cmd-T / Ctr-T and flip that mutha'. Looks like it's system font Trebuchet MS being used.

you could use svg but then you would have to get the site visitor to download a svg viewer

It is not a wise idea to use SVG as a very limited number of browsers support it...
