I'm working on this site http://www.ganzenhoeden.nl and I was wondering if it was possible to somehow tweak the cursorcolor when I hover over and/or select one of the inputfields of my form. As you can see the greyish color of a (windows XP cursor) disappears within the greenish color of the inputfield.
Does anyone know if there is a possibility whithin css to do this? Could'nt come up with something myself (shame on me!)
I know, it does'nt work in IE. (PS: I actually have a :hover state on the inputfields. Notice the very subtle bordercolor change :-D) Solution is sending another stylesheet to IE with a brighter color green as default, but that just does'nt do it for me. I like the tone of green and preferably do not want to change it.
Sorry - you can't control the carat cursor with CSS.
Maybe a JS alternative?
You could use some JavaScript to get IE to accept the :hover or :focus states of your inputs and textarea. That way the cursor color would be irrelevant.
Here's a Java photo hover example you may want to consider. Looks like it may fit well with your design. Just came across this myself. http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/1682246/
