I'm a big fan of the recently redesigned Yahoo! sites... one of them is Yahoo! news:
    http://news.yahoo.com

I like the tabular approach and especially the headline slides they're using.
Does anyone know how to recreate this applet? I'd love to use something similar for some new pages I'm designing...

Any help & hints would be appreciated!

    Hint:

The "View Source" feature is useful here. You'll want to look at everything that has to do with the "Super Ticker".

If you are using firefox, a dirty trick is that you press CTRL+S, then select where to save the site and Firefox will automaticlly download all the files needed: CSS, images, etc...
It's a pretty dirty trick and i don't recommend using on a site like Yahoo's since their design probably is copyrighted, and you could get in big trouble for that.

Thanks! Seems most of the Yahoo! source code is free for others to use...

Still all looks quite complex to me though.
