You can't really guarantee that the font will be present on user machine but I think if you use any of the fonts that come by default with Windows and Mac you should be pretty safe. Also if you not sure what font present on user side it's a good practice to specify extra font to replace it in case it's missing. Then you still having control over the final result displayed on a user screen.
