CSS & HTML: IE and transparent PNG compatability

    How can I get a transparent PNG image to display properly in IE?
    It seems to work fine in FF but in IE the part of the image that is meant to be transparent is displayed as a light blue.

    Consolidating multiple threads into one:

    I am now having a problem getting IE to display transparent PNG background images. I've applied the "AlphaImageLoader" behavior and it works on all placed images but it does not seem to affect any PNG files that are used as background images. Is there any way to change this?

    Realizing it's fairly old (but it still works) you might need a JS solution like BGSleight.js by Drew McLellan.
