There was a time when I would head directly to CSS Beauty when I my work day started to check out the latest postings for new css and design techniques. And would often have 4 or 5 tabs open up checking out great blogger articles.
I would be bookmarking like a crack addict and printing up pages to pour over through the day. By the end of the day I was integrating what I learnt into websites that I was working on like a good student. This was about up to 3 weeks ago!
Now I read about YUI Tetris, the endless preaching about the 100 years standards batte and microsoft programs. Come on! Stop the promotion of the web developer/ranting blogger/aspring css celebrity and get back to posting links to pieces whichallow the rest of us working designers to keep on learning from , developing our skills and abreast in terms of the strides in the industry.
Yes there has been a change, the volume of news items has grown, and the range of topics is now wider.
It went from being just me posting news, to now 5 or 6 people, all of whom are very smart. Many of the cool techniques I used to link to were actually created by some of the new contributors.
We will not stop posting about the latest technique or newest script.
I for one will continue to look for cool techniques, articles to post .
In any case, people can always skip what they don't like. There are those however that will find certain topics very helpful.
