The following site I've been working on utilizes multi-level menus.

    www.mdot5.com/shearer

However, something really unique is happening - the drop-down menus (under About Us and Projects) work on the following browsers:

IE 7, FF 1.0.5, Opera 8.5 - all on PC
    Safari 1.3 on OS 10.3

But, on IE 6/PC, the drop down menus don't come down.

It works on IE 7 but not 6?

Also, can anyone explain why my menu items are pushed over to the left so far? They are centered, but there is a gap on the right side.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

Well, if you can't get you'r own working you can use pre-made multi-level menus. Google for CSS/JS Drop-menus.

    Michael in Calgary,

Based upon your description, I'm assuming that you're trying to achieve the drop down effect via the :hover pseudo class. IE6 does not supprt pseudo classes (like :hover) on anything but the anchor <a> tag.

Check out Dean Edwards's JS that will help fix behavior for IE6: http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/

Okay, I've played around with it, and now the menu items (apear) and (b) line up nicely in IE 6 and 7, but they are pushed over to the left side of their container on FF and Opera 8.5.

    Any advice?
