    Im having a problem wiith my flash page that shows a border in IE but looks ok in firefox. I have t click it once in order to make it work in IE.

    Any idea how to get rid of the borders in flash using IE? any javascript that works.
    i heard its the activeX thingy error.

    i heard its the activeX thingy error.

    Yes, it is because of the Eolas patent lawsuit.

    SWFobject (like Jan suggested) will get you around it just fine.

    Also Adobe has an extension that you can download from their site with instructions regarding the whole issue http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/

    It's kinda overkill, but if you upgrade your DW to 8.02, when you open docs that have object tags in them, it will ask if you if you want to fix that with it's own little script solution. Can't say I like it, kinda bloated (like all DW code) but it's a quick fix
