    Some days ago I redesigned website http://www.peoplesforumpunjab.org using valid XHTML/CSS.

    May I get some feedback about the site navigation, colors, layout etc. ?

    older layout but looks good colors are not good..

    I'd love to see just a hair more of a gutter between the text on the white background and the red box on the homepage. Other than that it looks okay by me.

    You might try putting more padding around your images. Just my personal preference......

    The colors are awful and everything just seems to be too compressed.

    Gustavs, to me the colours look horrible too, but I must think of the culture, and Indians like parrot-like colourful clothes and homes, regardless of whether or not the colours play well together.

    What may look ugly to us might be gorgeous to them.

    No it's not about culture, may be It's about bad design and bad choice of colors.
    I was playing around with some bright colors and in the end i guess i messed it up. I am just starting with the web design and i think wasn't able to manage the color combinations.

    Actually i was also not satisfied with the colors. When the site had not replaced the previous design, i just put it in some webmaster forum for review and there it got nice reviews (http://www.ozzu.com/ftopic55523.html). So I thought that visitors views matter more than mine so i chose these colors as final.

    Anyways, Thanks very much for the frank reviews. I will rework the colors and padding issues and hope to come out with improvements within few days, maybe replacing the green shades with the blues.

    I will post it here again and looking forward to ur help in making it a better site.

    my two pennies: you need more padding in the boxes... and you should give up justify on the text.
