Arun, you are going to have to do way better than this if you expect to get any work around here.

Think about it, you are posting on a forum where its members and probably most viewers create and expect to see quality standards based work.

Your work is not up to our standards,

What you should do is try to learn the right way to do things, and polish your portfolio…

mringlein is right, your main site is table based… That and the fact that you are willing to sell yourself cheap, just throws red flags everywhere… No one with a right set of mind will give you any work.

    Sorry dude, the truth hurts.

I can say like ""blaming is ""regarding to your country and your people however"""" And you peoples can do just blaming others.... don’t be selfish and cruel . ------- This is for only (KMG). I feel he doesn’t have any manners.

    Alex --

And I am working for clients not for me. That is why i didn't make my site better... if you peoples go thru with this link you peoples can view my works, if it looks very ugly don’t contact me…

Also I am cutting my old messages. because I think this form is not for marketing

    Arun,

My intention was to not "blame the Country or you" nor offend you in anyway. My point was to say I'm very sorry to what happened in BOMBAY

    Arun,

I feel pity for the unpolite answers you received just for making a wrong post, but I guess manners are beyond a Css guru (?) understanding.

Shame on you CSS guys... I can feel a xenophobic mocking feeling around.

Do you feel sorry for the rest of the freelancers who are trying to make a living off of their work? When people see that they can get a web developer for $6 an hour (if it's crap code, the average client can't tell - they don't "view souce") - it devalues the developers who are charging $50 an hour. $50/hour is a reasonable starting price (and a livable wage) for a designer/developer who does their job correctly.

Do you think someone would be willing to pay $50 when they think they can get their site done for $6?

As I said...you get what you pay for.

Not every webdesigner has more than 3 years experience however or is less talented and they still went to earn some money, so they keep low prices and isn't that what the lowbudget car seller is looking for? To be short the market has different segments and the cssbeauty members are probably in the top segment and Arun in the low segment with less prestigious clients, not?

    adjustafresh,

I recommend you to read well my post this time.

I was talking about politness, not wages and stuff forcrissake! For me is very clear:

    1) This is not a "job finder" forum
    2) "I feel pity for the unpolite answers you received just for making a wrong post" Do you read "unpolite" or "wrong post" this time?
    3) I recommend you to open a forum about wages so you can post the info there.

    Thank you, peace.

The clashes of prices is a new reality of the market as India and China are entering a job market that North America and Europe used to have for themselves... one day the prices and everything else will balance themselves out, but it's going to be rough for the current industry model to deal with the effects.

fake, true, but a designer can start writing content instead of requesting the client to provide the content. That way, you have home-field language advantage. Indians and Chinese, with the exceptions of those that speak and write English very well, can only "design".

Calm down. Who's being rude here now? Perhaps the fact that English is not your primary language cripples your ability to infer tone. Perhaps it also reduces your ability to communicate clearly.

Don't start throwing stones and then say "peace" and expect people to ignore your insolence.

    vuurvos
To your car analogy. A used 1998 Toyota Camry in good condition with approximately 100K miles on it will sell for roughly the same price (give or take a couple hundred bucks) no matter what dealer you're buying it from. The cost of the vehicle is determined by the market and the quality of the car. If I charge $50 for a car that's worth $5000 1. I'm not a very good business person and 2. People will immediately wonder what's wrong with the car.

I see the point about building a client list and improving skills, but at $6 an hour Arun's selling himself short - even in India, even with 100% table-based layouts.

This is my last comment on this topic ;). I dont wanna give my opinion on prices, but I only observe the market and determine that there are companies that make (very ugly!) websites for very low prices. Like this company (http://www.laarink.nl/CMS/index.php?pages_id=12) makes a site for 125 EURO!
You probably have to deal with it. Here in Holland we have Aldi supermaket which is very cheap and dirty and Albert Heyn which is more expensive and luxuous, I suggest every market has this "problem", not? Now you will say, you spoil the market by selling products for too low prices, I dunno how other markets deal with this? But I do know that some companies for example give their software away for free (open source), while Bill Gates is posting on forums that the market is being spoiled, cause everybody is buying Linux!

Please lets keep politics, religion, race out of this forum… and please write in English.

Regarding the comments made initially, well he had it coming, Arun has been a member for a while, and if he doesnt’ understand what the forum and it’s members are all about, then that’s his fault.

MCDX Yo vivo en EEUU y no me creo mejor que nadie, porfavor no vuelvas a escribir en español, en este forum se habla solo Ingles. Gracias.

<blockquote>I think you voted Bush, move on!</blockquote>

Both comments were out of line.

I will now close this thread, again, lets keep the forum clean.
