what i'm doing is grabing my data from my mysql database and want to display it on my index page but for some random reason in $text and only $text var it changes all ' to ? i don't have a clue why it's doing this so i thought someone here might.

if you're using Firefox, it might just be the character encoding that doesn't recognize the ' (maybe it passes as the french ’ somehow). FF replaces unknown chars with ?

it's all good found out what it was i think it's just lack of sleep but i was keying in ` instead of ' sorry for wasting ur time guys and thanks fake for your help
