OS X rocks. I plan on buying it in January when the intel macs are comming out. I'll sell my Acer TravelMate 8104 and get an iBook or PowerBook depending on the price. I'm so much in love with it, I can't wait to spend the presidents on OS X.
PS: I said that my next computer would be a Mac. Unfortunetly, in Septemeber, my desktop died, and since I knew that OS X is going x86, I couldn't buy one. And since I needed a computer, I settled on the next best thing: TravelMate 8104. I hopet that I won't lose more than $300 when I sell it.
I'm also planing on buying Mac soon. My sister has a Apple G3, but it's old and slow. So I'm thinking about buying a G4(since I don't have enought money for G5)
Mac is a very good web development platform because it has all browsers except IE6 running on it. And for IE6, you can use Virtual PC. Not only that, but since apps are contained in a folder and are independent of each other, and since there is no registry and Program Files, you can install as many versions as you want side by side.
