Unfortunately, I think FamFamFam works too well! It is everywhere now (admittedly so, on my stuff as well). We had an interesting discussion over lunch here last month about FamFamFam. It is interesting how most people are using the icons in an appropriate manner -- it is almost helpful now having a consistent icon across the web to denote something such as "alerts".

However, I am sure some of you can imagine the flaw in us sharing our favorite icon depositories, as soon as too many people start using them –they are almost worthless. iStockPhoto was amazing for about a year, now you just as easily pin-point an istockphoto as you can a getty image – having one can almost be embarrassing.
