I have reports that Norton Internet Security deletes the contents of a div with id "header" if there isn't another div above it.

I've heard something like this but I don't have NIS to test with.

Anything that comes accross as "advertising".

I'm sure settings can be customized this this not to happen?

Yes, it comes as adevertisement. The problem is, according to some, that this is the default setting. I don't have NIS. I can't test this. So, i decided to use "hanger" instead of "heading". "Hanger" and "footer" complement each other, as words, better anyway.

The problem is that many clueless people buy Norton, and its default settings are pathetic. The problem is that people will assume that the page is broke.

Yeah it's really quite a strange thing to block, a div called header should mean that it has som relevance to the page it self. Do I understand it correctly if this block will not affect a DIV "header" already inside a DIV"wrapper", which most lyou structures are?
