    white text on black is always a problem... very hard to concentrate and read, you might want to consider changing the background, or easy the text color.

    The background is a bit anoying when scrolling.

    Other than that you've done a good job.

    It's a nice site. I second the white on black comment.

    I was looking under the "Resources" page. I love the colourful phrazes opressive regimes and dictators adopt for their country:
    - the golden land
    - Myanmar's military government, the State Peace and Development Council. (oxymoron).

    Hi there guys,

    Thank you for your suggestions. Much appreciated!

    I have changed the text color but not sure if it's better now?

    As for the background, I've set background-attachment to fixed; hope it's less annoying now.

    First impresion is good, but here are some things that bothers me:

    • The color scheme seems good.

    • That background image does not go well with the web page. Try making that "black-thing" 10% transprent(or maybe more, but just so that you can hardly see it)

    • Remove that underline from menu. If you want the viewer to know in which page he is you can make that button background diffrent. For example you could make it a liitle darker/brighter.

    • That image on the side really does not fit it. Try finding/creating some other one that more suits that color scheme.

    • About that grass - it looks alright, but then you should make that copyright div with black background-color so that they flow togeather. And remove the border also.

    • Also, try adding some images to content.

    Other than that it seems like a nice little site. :)

    Thanks for your comments, Gustavs.

    Did a few changes based on your comments, so yeah, hope it all looks better now.

    As for the image on the left, I am not really bothered about it because it's randomized.

    It looks better but there still are some things that could use some tweaking.

    Hmm, just noticed I use a lot of "I think you should..." Propably, becouse I don't like people that give criticue like "it think it sucks"

    I like your site, but I strongly recommend that you add more timely content to the home page. Pull people in. Show samples of your work right away.

    You have to guide people to the content you want them to see.

    Gustavs: Thanks! You are right about the menu thing. I am kinda annoyed by it too. Must fix asap. :)

    coopersita58: Fresh content... emm.. let me see what I can do about it. Sadly, I can't show my sample works at that website beause it's not mine. :p

    You can fix the menu this way:

    #mainnavigation li {
    position: relative;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0;
    height: 20px;
    list-style-type: none;
    display: block;
    float: left;
    line-height: 20px;
    right: 2px;
    }

    And remove the white bar simple by removing the white bar div, but I guess you already knew that.

    Thanks! Removed the left spacing from the menu. Now if only I could remove the spacing on the right (there's a 1px space btwn the contact block and the side). But I dont think it's possible unless I re-word the navigation texts... any idea?

    I am leaving the white bar as it is because I like having it there. :)

    Nice colour scheme as people have pointed out, but I do agree with Gustavs that some of your pictures in that radom image module are thrown in and don't follow some basic rules of blending or theme. Maybe theme is a bit much, but white and blue (for one of the images) just doesn't keep the eye of the visitor flowing down the content and it deviates attention to it - not sure if you really want people to pay attention to your block of images rather than your content.

    I don't mean images to blend strictly by using a black background on them, but try to keep the subject of the photo in the same color scheme and it will go nicely with the design.

    Of course, as specified upper in this page, some pictures in the content area would be reccomended as they could attract attention to specific blocks of information you want to emphasize.

    I love the grass image at the bottom and I think it will enhance your design if you leave it intact (choose another location for copyright, validators & contact) or only for part of them. One line of content on that region, fixed to the bottom of it would refresh the view on your footer.

    I think "Adds by google" is your necessity so I am not going to cover that aspect, but personaly I don't like it stuck there on the bottom:

    1. It rips the design abruptly on the bottom (especialy that nice grass effect)
    2. advertising is best done where the bulk of your viewers can see it - it's a proven fact that if the site doesn't have content that will convince the viewer to read all the way down he/she probably won't scroll down to notice any relevant info on the bottom.
