Hello, we’re a startup creating a new social web application. You probably haven’t heard of us because we are keeping quiet. We are a seven person team, all part time, and financed out of our own pockets. We have a solid plan to make money. We value user experience and will not compromise our site with flashing ads and ugliness. We are based in Chicago, but you don’t have to be.

If you’d like to be a part of a cool new endeavor, let us know! We will take bids from several people in the form of a rough draft for a new design. Everyone who contributes will be compensated with a small cash reward (on the order of $50). The person we choose will go through several iterations with us as we finalize the design. We will give you a combination of a small cash payout (around $600) and equity. The terms of our agreement are negotiable.

We value talent over experience so don’t send us a resume full of buzzwords, just send some examples of things you’ve done. Once we approve you we will show you what we have and get your feedback on it. If we determine that you could be a potential candidate we will give you a chance to show us a rough draft of some ideas.

Ideally we're looking for someone entrepreneurial who would like to contribute 2-3h/week avg (some weeks no work, some weeks say 5 hours), after the initial design, compensated by equity to stay on as a consultant and work on new features with us. Once we have funding or revenue, we may change our agreement to offer you further cash incentives for your continuing contributions.
